Kaifeng, November 18, 2016 - Professor Xu Peifeng, Vice President of Florida Institute of Technology (FIT), one of our cooperative universities in running Sino-foreign cooperative program, visited our university. Professor Sun Junjian, Vice President of Henan University, Ma Xiaoyong, Director of International Affairs Office, Guan Hefeng, Secretary of the Party Committee of the International Education College (IEC), Zhao Xinshun, Dean of IEC and relevant directors and project leaders of the college attended the meeting. Vice President Sun Junjian warmly welcomed Prof. Xu Peifeng. Both sides discussed numerous issues including the studying progress of our students studying abroad, the enrollment situation in 2016, the Zhengzhou Airport Economy Zoneand the teacher training.

The leadership of the college and Prof. Xu Peifeng had conducted in-depth discussions about teaching and student training and so on, including the students’ feedback on the six professors sent by FIT in the summer of 2016, the changes in the requirement for the students’ English proficiency, as well as the future of the two sides to further strengthen cooperation and exchanges.

After the talks, Vice President Xu Peifeng, accompanied by the leadership team of the International Education College, delivered a report to more than 100 students in the 2016 Florida Institute of Technology program in the Report Hall of Building 23, highlighting the introduction of the FIT and the requirements for continuing their study in the FIT etc. The students who attended the report had deeply understood the importance of learning English and core courses. Some of them said they would strive to achieve the requirements of our university as well as the partner university as soon as possible.
