On the afternoon of September, 22^th, 2016, the opening ceremony for students of Year 2015 was held in the grand auditorium on Minglun campus, the vice-chancellor Sun Junjian and all members of leading group in IEC participated in it, including all teaching staff and representatives from foreign teachers.

The dean firstly gave speech to celebrate the arrival of students of Year 2016 and introduced achievements of IEC to students, meanwhile, the dean hoped students learn from the spirit of Chinese Women’s Volleyball team and command useful learning methods to make myriad progress in university.

Local teachers and foreign teachers also expressed warm welcome to students. Both of them hoped new students make use of bilingual teaching and achieve great progress in study. The representative of current students also shared with newcomers the importance of stepping out of comfort zone, never afraid of making mistakes. New students expressed their hope to say goodbye to the past, live in the present and embrace the future.

The vice-chancellor summarized the ceremony by speaking highly of international feature of the ceremony and hoped all students become the pride of Henan University.

Volunteers from the Youth Association led the freshmen to visit Minglun Campus after the ceremony.
