Kaifeng, March 21st, 2019. Rhys Williams, Director of the International Cooperation Department of Victoria University of Australia, and a group of 6 visited International Education College of Henan University. The leaders of the college met with visitors in the conference room of Minglun Campus.
Ma Xiaoyong, Dean of IEC, first extended a warm welcome to Rhys Williams and his colleagues. He has mainly introduced the construction and operation of the new computer room and professional classrooms on Jinming Campus, and informed the guests about the current work of the college. Rhys Williams first expressed his gratitude for the joint efforts of the staff of the project partners, and expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the timely establishment of new laboratories and professional classrooms to effectively serve the cooperation between both sides. He then informed the construction of the infrastructure of Victoria University campuses, and highlighted the new teaching mode of Victoria University. The new teaching mode has a significant effect, and the student pass rate and satisfaction have improved significantly. The leaders of our school fully recognized the successful experience of the reform of the teaching model of the University of Victoria and expressed that they will continue to pay attention to the advancement and development of the next step.
During the talks, the two sides conducted full and meticulous communication on various issues in the cooperation project, including teacher training and recruitment, student evaluation, use of online teaching platform, laboratory construction, project review and evaluation, and curriculum re-education. The two sides also communicated specifically on the issue of the cooperation of business teachers in the preparation of teaching materials.
After the talks, the members of the delegation participated in the award ceremony together with the leaders of IEC.
