Second Meeting of 2021 Held byHENU-VU Partnership Joint Operations Team
The Henan University (HENU)-Victoria University (VU) Partnership Joint Operations Team held its second meeting of 2021 on May 20thvia online video conference. The meeting was attended by VU representatives, including Director of TNE Partnerships Ms Caryn Nery, Director of Teaching and Learning Raquel Licciardi, Director of Academic Quality and Standards Deborah Tyler, TNE Program Manager George Yue, International Project Officer Mounica Madadi, General Manager of VU English Dianne McKeagney, Manager of VU Offshore English delivery Hilda Cove, and three TNE Site Coordinators, Craig Cameron, Kathy Michae and Hao Shi, and HENU representatives from the International Education College (IEC) including Dean Ma Xiaoyong, Vice Dean Kang Tianfeng, Directors of Academic Affairs Su Fangfang and Zhao Shuhong, and Program Coordinators Niu Yongjuan, Guo Jinyu and Zhou Jing. The meeting was hosted by Caryn Nery.
The two sides first reviewed the completion of the work plan formulated at the first meeting in March and adopted the follow-up plan for related work. Dean Ma Xiaoyong, advised the VU representatives of IEC’s preparations for the forthcoming China MOE’ audit and re-approval of TNE programs. Afterwards, both sides held consultations around the progress of the renewal of VU-HNU General Agreement of 2021.
Program coordinators of both sides communicated and discussed some issues concerning the current co-teaching units, future curriculum optimization, as well as the upcoming ECT-Degree and ECT-Diploma language tests andsubsequent diploma and degree unit examinations. Raquel Licciardi, Director of Teaching and Learning, gave positive feedback on the current teaching situation.
Finally, both sides reached a consensus on several key tasks in the near future and made detailed arrangements for the upcoming ECT-Degree and ECT-Diploma language tests andsubsequent diploma and degree unit examinationsto ensure the successful completion of established objectives and tasks.
